Building & Engaging Global Communities

Throughout my career, I have played a crucial role in fostering passionate communities across gaming, esports, and entertainment. At ESL FACEIT Group, I led communications efforts for some of the world’s largest esports tournaments, including IEM Rio Major, IEM Katowice, ESL One Cologne, and the Esports World Cup. My work included setting up press opportunities, player interviews, and media tours to amplify the reach and excitement of these events. These initiatives helped grow the competitions’ visibility through media relations and press campaigns, ensuring that esports fans, journalists, and industry professionals remained deeply engaged.

 

Beyond esports, I have executed communications campaigns at industry events such as E3, Gamescom, GDC, EGX, Comic Con (EU & US), Brand Licensing Europe, and Mobile World Congress. These large-scale activations required careful coordination with stakeholders across publishers, developers, media, and event organizers to maximize brand impact.

Event Planning & Execution

Executing successful community-driven events requires precise planning and strategic positioning. At ESL FACEIT Group, I worked closely with teams to coordinate sponsorship visibility, fan engagement initiatives, and storytelling elements that resonated with both B2B and consumer audiences. This extended beyond the event itself, ensuring that promotions, content, and social campaigns were perfectly timed and synchronized across all communication channels.

 

My experience also includes leveraging fan-driven initiatives at esports events and pop culture conventions to boost product and ticket sales. I ensured that marketing and communications efforts were effectively integrated into live activations, strengthening audience participation and brand recognition.

 

Additionally, I played a key role in bringing together the cast of Merlin at Comic Con to promote both the TV series and its game adaptation. By facilitating direct interactions between the actors, media, and fans, I helped drive thousands of game sign-ups ahead of launch. This campaign was a critical success, leading to a BAFTA nomination in 2013.

From managing game sunsets with transparency to driving engagement at major esports tournaments, I prioritized trust and enthusiasm. Working closely with social teams, I ensured content fit media narratives, maintaining a consistent and compelling brand presence.
